HETO takes Indiana teachers to Honduras each summer as part of two specialized programs:
Teachers Making Connections (TMC)
Never been to Honduras? Join us for a TMC brigade where you will visit each of HETO's partner schools, watch Honduran teachers instruct, share a lesson of your own, deliver critically needed school supplies, and maybe even play a game of baseball during recess. TMC groups generally brigade for 8 days, leaving ample opportunity to spend time in each of HETO's partner schools, while still venturing out for a few different cultural experiences.
Connecting Communities (CC)
The CC brigade is generally reserved for teachers who have experience working in the HETO schools and who have identified a more specialized interest such as completing construction projects or leading professional development workshops in one or more schools. CC brigade trips can last between 8-14 days, depending on the goals of the trip.
Travel dates for 2017:
June 14-21, 2020
